Join Toleration!
Toleration is uncomfortable, by definition.
(What’s toleration, by the way? Read here what i wrote about that.)
Toleration has occupied minds for centuries. You come across the term all the time, usually in a positive sense. But it is often a code word. “If you agree with me, you are tolerant. My opponents are not.”
The world could use a little more toleration, and you can join in. Read along, talk along.
The internet is full of shallow, entertaining stuff, aiming at your dopamine levels. My articles are long reads: it takes on average thirty minutes to read one. I try to go a little deeper, enabling you to delve deeper into complicated questions that are keeping thinkers busy for ages. I try to be accessible and nuanced. If it takes effort, remind yourself that at least you’re not reading the entire books about the subject — I have already done that for you.

Everyone can talk about toleration. Although I use a lot of scientific literature, this is not a scientific project. I determine the definition and structure of the concept of toleration, but I have an opinion about many aspects of toleration that you do not have to agree with. Join the discussion!
I usually publish one article every two weeks on a Saturday morning, both in English and in Dutch. The content is pretty much the same, the language is different. Should you want to switch to Dutch, go to kajjalving.substack.com.
